Do automated shades actually save energy?

Yes — by reducing solar heat gain before it enters the space, they cut the load your cooling system has to remove. How much depends on your glass, orientation, and rates, which is why we model projected savings against your building’s actual utility data instead of quoting an industry average.

Can this be installed in an occupied building?

Yes. Retrofit installs run floor by floor, largely from the window line, and can be sequenced around tenants and business hours. Most buildings never interrupt operations.

Will it work with our existing building management system?

That is the design goal on every project. We integrate with the BAS you have where it supports it, and where a building has no automation at all, the shading control platform can stand alone and grow into a broader system later.

What about glare and tenant comfort — not just energy?

Shading control is as much a comfort system as an energy system. Daylight harvesting balances natural light against glare, tenants keep local override where the design calls for it, and the hot-and-cold complaint calls drop with the heat gain.
